Pet Poo Loo

The worm powered, convenient and environmentally friendly method of disposing of pet droppings.

Installation:
The Pet Poo Loo unit should be placed in a hole in the ground to within 100mm (4 inches) of the top of the pipe section, or deep enough to allow unrestricted operation of the lid in the fully open position. Press soil down around the pipe section to hold the unit firmly in the ground. The hole in the ground should be deeper than the pipe section. Place some compos type earthworms in the bottom of the hole together with a little moist topsoil. Although the Pet Poo Loo should be easily accessible, it works best in a cool damp shady spot near shrubs etc. DO NOT PLACE IN FULL SUN.

Intestinal Worm Drenches:
Worm drench medicines given to your pet can also kill the earthworms in your Pet Poo Loo. To avoid this happening use more environmentally friendly methods of treating/feeding, or use some other disposal method for the droppings for one week after worming.

Price: With worms - $50.00

Postage: Sydney - $10.00, Melbourne - $14.00, Brisbane - $20.00

Operation:
The pet droppings should be placed in the Pet Poo Loo daily in as moist condition possible. If droppings are very dry, adding water occasionally will be appreciated by the earthworms as they prefer to be wet than too dry, and it will attract plant roots to the area. Although earthworms prefer a moist environment, they do not like to swim, so the amount of water added will depend on the soil conditions, ie: less heavy clay and more in sandy or free draining soils. An occasional sprinkling of ordinary garden lime, say every few weeks (or when you remember) will be appreciated by the worms and will keep the Pet Poo Loo sweet.

In ideal conditions the Pet Poo Loo should never require relocation. The variables are size and number of pets, type of food given and how biologically active the soil is.
